Hi,

Today is my birthday and I am going to get myself my first gaming PC. The Parts should arrive in the next days and I am very happy to get to build this thing. For the last years I was gaming on a Laptop, but now is the time where I want a computer which runs Minecraft at more than 20 fps :P

The parts list is:

Those prices are not right. I will "only" spend about 1080€. I will not change any parts anymore whatsoever. I speced this PC out for over a month now, using many of the tier lists provided by this wonderful community.

When those Parts arrive, you will get some updates.

EDIT:

Wow. Totally missed that graphics card. Everything else in my original post was nitpicky but that GPU is a dog. It burns like the fires of hell and doesn't have the performance to match. For 5600XT go with the Sapphire PULSE.

Original:

Overall a good build. You don't necessarily need to change anything. However, just to nit pick, some parts are just a little "off".

Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard - B550s are brand new and not thoroughly vetted yet, but usually the -F designation on these ROG boards means it's a little thermally deficiently (less/worse VRMs). Try to go with the -E version if you can.

Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL17 Memory - CL17 is actually not bad, but you can get CL16 on 3600. However, this is *really* nitpicky. The cost difference to do that may be extreme, and it may not even matter much in the long run. Just pointing it out.

Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive - P1 drives have historically not done well (slow and/or unreliable). For Crucial you should go MX. Still, may be fine for you.

Samsung 860 QVO 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive - The only benefit of QLC NAND (which this uses) is being able to run higher capacity drives, but at 1TB, you can get TLC drives easily. If this is just for game storage or something, it's probably not that big of a deal, but you'd still probably be better off going for a 1TB TLC instead, and you might even save a little money.

be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply - 600W is a little low. Should be fine for now, but if you ever do any upgrades, you'll either need to watch the additional power draw very closely or upgrade to a higher wattage PSU. I'd try to go at least 650W or 700W, but 750W or 800W would put you in a very good place for future upgrades. Just depends on what you can afford/find. 600W will work, though.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D · Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S Chromax.black · Motherboard: Gigabyte Auros X670 Elite AX · RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30 · Graphics Card: Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super Twin Edge OC 12GB · Boot Drive: 1TB XPG Gammix S70 Blade NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB WD SN850X NVMe SSD · PSU: Seasonic Focus GX V3 1000W 80+ Gold · Case: Fractal Design North Mesh · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: EPOMAKER x Aula F99 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard · Mouse: Logitech G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

it is much more than you will ever need. i run rx 5700 XT and ryzen 7 3700x overclocked with 450w psu.

the E means that they have wireless network. the f doesnt have one. nothing to do with VRMs

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

On the graphic card tier list the Thicc III is in S tier though. The Sapphire is about 30€ more expensive, ant that is too much. And I don't like the looks of the Sapphire that much.

But the E is 60€ more expensive.

I know, that the QVO is not the fastest SSD, but it is mainly for game storage, and quiet cheap for what it is.

So thanks for the Ideas, but as mentioned it is too late now, and I dont need that last single frame pre second.

The Thicc 5600XT is literally the worst graphic card you can get in that line. It top 105C in reviews when most others were in the high 80's. It's also one of the worst performers in the 5600XT range. Beaten only by Gigabyte's, which also has pretty bad thermals, but not nearly as bad as the Thicc. Literally choose any other card. You don't want this one.

The estimated shipping date for the Motherboard is 1st of July. So I'll have to wait until I can start building. Everything else should be here by tuesday so I'll have everything but the Moteherboard. That's so frustrating!

Suprise!
The Motherboard came a week earlier as expected so I could build the system today! I filmed the whole process but still need to cut the footage a bit. So now I only have Photos of the finished system.

While I built the system some things supprised me quiet a bit so I want to share them with you.

The CPU is very heavy. I didn't thaught there was much weight to a CPU but now that I think about it, the IHS is made out of solid copper which wights quiet s bit.

On the other hand, I didn't expected the GPU being so light. But I expected it would be out of metal while it was just made from plastic.

Also the cables were mucg fiddelier than I expected. It took me propably like 10 minutes to get the 8-pin CPU power cable in.

Now the pictures I took (little disclaimer: I know I should mount one fan to the front as intake, but I ordered 2 more fans for intake which should arrive in the next few days, so I didn't bother changing the position of these fans) :

I tested the thermals of the card in my games (Watch Dogs 2, Forza Horizon 4 etc.) and the card never got hotter than 85°C. When I det a custom fan curve it barely reached 75°C. Because of this I never experienced thermal throtteling.

And the performance is enough for me. So I am not going to return this card.
