Is my headphone setup spatial sound compatible?

I've never been one for the best audio, but playing games that require spatial awareness I feel like it's needed. Hearing footsteps that are behind you is pretty important. Not sure if my friends I play with just have their volume turned way up or because I can't turn on my spatial sound setting in the volume is why I can't hear the same as them.

 

I currently have some Bose QC 35 ii headphones, so I assume they're capable of decent surround sounds/3d audio. It's just what's in between is what I think is the issue.

 

The headphones go to a microphone and speaker splitter, just one that I got from a friend. That goes into a mic+speaker>USB dongle (something like the dongle in the attached link). Which the goes into a USB 3 extension. The reason for the extension, is because the PC is too far away.

 

I'm wondering if I just get a 3.5mm AUX extension, 4 pole, will that enable the spatial sound? Getting rid of all the USB extension and the USB dongle, in my mind, will help.

Spatial sound with Windows Sonic is available for all headphones.

Can you post the link?

 

Also, is the headset the Apple or Samsung variant? The pinout on the jack is different so a aplitter cable might not work properly.
