In the hack pro video, why did they use AMD Graphics cards and not nvidia? Is there something im missing that would help me understand why they did it like that? Or is it like how some games run better with AMD or via versa NVIDIA if that makes sense.

because

a.) nvidia is not the only high-performance graphics vendor

and

b.) some applications benefit from using OpenCL under AMD rather than CUDA under Nvidia and it really depends on your usecase as to what you choose so you can make best leverage of your hardware in your budget

or

c.) Lisa Su has personally enslaved LMG to only feature builds with their products in a massive global conspiracy

Probably C lol

Or you know not being able to get drivers for Nvidia cards in MacOS might have something to do with it...

Kinda, apple just doesn't want to support nvidia gpus, so there are no drives for it on osx.

Last I heard it was Nvidia that didn't want to provide drivers for MacOS, not that Apple doesn't want Nvidia support. If I remember correctly it had something to do with Apple requiring access to either the source code or the code for the drivers, I probably used the wrong terminology but basically Nvidia doesn't want others to know how their tech works.

But can anyone download the drivers off the NVIDIA website and install them onto a mac? Or is that not even a option?

I think its more of a apple thing. Nvidia has made drivers for osx for a while, and up to pretty recently. Apple hasn't used nvidia gpus for a while in their products(I think the 2014 macbook pros were some of the last with nvidia chips).

The last nvidia driver for osx seems to be for 10.13, so if you have a newer version of osx there just aren't any drivers to use.

Now thats just bs. How that is that possible.

Here's an article that explains why:

https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/02/14/video-nvidia-support-was-abandoned-in-macos-mojave-and-heres-why

The short version is Nvidia and Apple don't get along right now.

I didnt see the whole video yet but assuming they tried to keep as close as possible to mac pro?

Apple and Nvidia dont get along, so you are kind of stuck with AMD GPUs in all their systems currently.  I would bet that's why they went that direction.  Keep things as close as possible?

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

If you go into nvidia's website, you'll see that the latest supported card is from the 600 series on macos 10.13 (we're on 10.15 now).
