I recently made a list of all the components I am planning to buy for my new rig. What do you guys think of this list? Is everything compatible? Good components?

Thanks in advance!

PS: the psu is different because for some weird reason it wasn't on pcpartpicker so it is actually the 650W version!

Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

This is not an issue as almost all boards are updated these days and in the case the OP is worried 99% of stores update the BIOS for free

The power supply is quite crap. Get something decent

The PSU isn't the best but certainly decent

Why is the power supply bad?

I would change 2 things

1st I would get a b450 pro4 it's usually cheaper or just wait for b550

I would also Change the ram

Unless you like how it looks get something like a vengeance it's cheaper and usually used hynix or micron so it's pretty decent

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Decent for office systems, not high end gaming setups where thermals quickly rise and stability is important

It's in the b+ category for PSU lists

There are worse options for a gaming PC

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Will 600W be sufficient?

You won't need more than 550 for this system really

So the bequiet pure power gold 600W will be enough?

There are other options

Look for the rm650x or the MWE gold or the tx650m

Or the 550 version of them

Get the cheapest one out of all of them

So the pure power gold with 600W or should I go with just 500W?

If you want the extra headroom go for the 600 if the price is significant between them get the 500

The SeaGate drive is unreliable - swap it out for a larger SATA SSD or a WD Blue/Red

Since barracuda drives die 7 times more frequently than WD Blues. Look up any data recovery service. There are even Seagate exclusive ones due to the volume of dead cheap Seagate drives
