My computer would suddenly crash upon launching a game

  • Describe the problem you are having in detail but without rambling. If your post is as long as this one, it's too long.

Occasionally upon launching a game, the game would completely freeze and my monitor would disconnect from my PC and state that there is no HDMI input. The audio that I had playing would sound robotic and cuts off 5 seconds later. I checked my PC and it was still running even though it wasn't displaying anything on my monitor. I rebooted it and checked to see if there were any system dump files but there weren't any. I theorise that it has to do with my graphics card but how do I fix it.

edit: It wouldn't crash all the time, it would crash occasionally. Sometimes I was able to play the game just fine but other times my computer would crash.

I was running Minecraft just a few minutes ago when it crashed. However my computer would crash upon launching other games too like Dying Light, Deceit etc.

  • Give full details of any error messages and screenshots if possible

I didn't find any error messages.

What are the temps when it happens, has thermal paste been replaced lately?

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help
