So i found a keyboard today.

mr_pants66

So after work today i was walking home finishing my drink and when I went to throw the can in a passing bin something catches my eye, It was a Cherry logo.
So I immediately grab whatever it is and low and behold it is a keyboard and a damn nice one to, check it out.

So this is the keyboard (after a bit of cleaning) it is a Cherry MX1800 family keyboard. It has the correct long shift key and what not, it does not have windows keys (a nice bonus)

MX1800

It is cherry MX black with an MX grey spacebar

MX1800 Cherry Black

MX1800 Cherry Grey

The Caps are high quality double shot plastic probably ABS

MX1800 Double shot

Its date of manufacture is from 1993 so that puts it a touch older than me, it is even older than my Model M

MX1800 DOM 1993

I have tested it and it is 100% working and is a great little keyboard, nice to have in my collection.

I think it was a point of sale keyboard and they got a new register so they chucked it. Fools did not know what they had.

Nevermind that $1000, (I wouldn't buy it anyway :P)

Edit: Cherry MX Blue switches (click, click, click, click, click, click)

Edit #2: BTW, Where is the Windows key?

The windows key did not exist until 1994. (I think)

Yeah, I love my k70. I have o-rings on it now and it makes typing a lot softer and it doesn't piss of my family when I work late.
