Is there a significant temperature gap between mesh and non mesh cases?

usually yes

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad. 

 

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

It's going to depend a lot on the specific case. Not all mesh cases are created equal, and not all non-mesh cases are created equal.

Do you have specific cases you're looking at?

The Meshify C is good when you add a couple of fans to the front and will outclass the Define C (or R6/ 7) by almost 10ºC at worst case scenario (assuming your build is exactly the same).

 

Same thing with the Meshify S2, though it comes with 2 front fans by default so it's less important to buy additional fans.

Correct. The Main difference between the R/S series and the C series is size. C is for compact; it's approximate 4" (100mm) shorter than the R or S series.
