Ryzen chips look better than Intel?

Hi all, does anyone else think that the AMD Ryzen chips look better than the Intel ones.

 

I mean, it's massively irrelevant, but I think they just look cooler and more modern, I wonder if their flatter surface and wider footrpint helps better with cooling?

 

But yeah, I think they look 100% better!!

Opposite here, mostly because I don't like PGA....

Ryzen has always faced problems of less even IHS surface, so actually it doesnt help cooling after Intel used solder more (let alone when they decide to make dies thinner)

 

Of course making CPUs that dont cook so hard helps with thermals in the first place.

I mean It's not meant to be seen. Also if Intel found a wider IHS helps with thermals they would do it. AMD didn't patent wide cpu's

its probably the straight square 

the IHS it self is just an IHS really and the thermal dissipation (on the die ) is average 

but looks wise i would say yea it kind of looks better i always liked pga more than lga

AMD cpu size and IHS plate have been the same since socket 754. They've gone as far as adding more pins.

 

So a Ryzen cpu, minus the lazer etching, has looked the same as it did years and years ago up till now.

 

Maybe it's the lazer etching that gives it that "look" that is so appealing?
