GTX 770 problems

Go to solution Solved by Eighjan,

Make sure it's not overheating &/or the fans on the card's cooler are working properly... I had a GTX660 that would crash under load & found out that the fans on the cooler had an issue with not being as good as they should have been, in some cases giving up after a year of 'solid use'.

I've had this card for about a year now, but it seems to gotten a few problems recently. I am not sure if it because I am using my computer more often in general, but whenever I load CS-GO I can use practice with bots and then on the around the seventh round my computer will shut off any output to displays, but music still plays. This mostly makes me think it is my graphics card. This also happened before I got a new power supply so it makes me think that it could have something to do with power problems, the only issues I can think of are to do with my extension cable. I know it could be the GPU dying, but I hope it isn't as I am also saving for a new phone and my CPU does not have in built graphics. Are there any possible fixes? I have played a few other games but this hasn't happened so it could also be CS-GO but I doubt it.

Current PC spec. in my profile.
Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

I changed the fans up to 100 % non auto and there was definitely an audible difference.

Specs are a Ryzen 3 1300x gtx 770 2gb Asus and a weird gigabyte mobo that is called an a320 but has a b350. 8 GB ram. Pretty budget build but I couldn't afford anything else. I will replace ram and GPU pretty much as soon as possible

If you have not already going through a DDU and reinstalling the drivers using Geforce Experience is a good idea, I don't know if the 770 was affected but I know a few of the 7 series GT and GTX cards have been having issues with driver installs due to something with the cards and the latest versions of WIndows 10.

Ahhh, it's uses a B350 chipset, but possibly cut-down  / modified to operate like an A320 chipset.

you and @_Omega_ were both very helpful in your diagnoses. Unfortunately the ddu didnt fix things so the only other choice was to take apart the cooler with my dad. temps are 20 Celsius lower.
