Hey, I want to buy my first mechanical keyboard but I need some help choosing a keyboard that will fit my needs/want list. For my budget I know mechanical keyboards are expensive so anything from $100-$150 is fine. My Needs list is what it has to have before I even consider buying it and my wants is what it would be really nice to have. oh and I am using the keyboard for mostly gaming and average typing.

Needs:

. A numpad

. Blue led back lit

. Matte finish

. Media keys

Wants:

. sturdy build

. a "gaming mode" wasd light up only

. Woven cable

. usb hub

. Well known producer

. cheaper(price) the better

. Blue keys (I think)

I don't know what keys I will like, I have tried blues and reds but thats all I could get my hands on. I know I don't really like reds so that leans me to blues. Heres a list of what i would like the mechanicles keys to be like and maybe you could help me choose.

. I like resting my hand on the keyboard(lightly) so heavier keys are better

. I don't mind the clicky sound

. I want to feel the actuation point

Here is what I have found looking so far that I like:

Thank you

As boring as I find recommendations of Ducky Shines, a Ducky Shine II might be your best bet. You'll have to set up the WASD lighting scheme yourself (it lets you create different lighting profiles), but otherwise I think it has everything but the USB hub and cheap price.

That said, you might have trouble finding one. There's rumours (possibly more by now) of a Ducky Shine III on the horizon, so Shine IIs might have ceased production.

Edit: If you can find the Qpad MK-80, that might have everything but the WASD lighting.
