Looking for a PC that will allow me to render/animate stuff somewhat quickly while allowing me to play games at high quality. Also want it to allow me to upgrade it in the future when needed. Don't mind using ebay for parts.

 B450 boards are out of stock nearly everywhere, if you can find a mortar max/tomahawk max for about $100 get it.

Not a bad start, i would suggest a different motherboard something like a B450 Tomahawk and use the money saved there and a bit beefier power supply for future proofing.

B550 is becoming available in the coming weeks so wait for then. Don't go X570, overspend plus that MSI board is not very good. MSI had a lot fo good B450 boards but they dropped the ball with X570. As for B450, if you are planning on a future new gen CPU upgrade do not bother with B450, Just because AMD is now offering support for B450/X470 doesn't make a future CPU upgrade an easy process, and this will be done with a beta bios that has zero backwards compatibility. If there is a problem you are screwed.

What for? 500GB is plenty plus there is a 2TB HDD. Yeah I just went with a cheaper RGB kit, OP originally chose Trident Z RGB memory.
