Ram Compatability With cpu

Hi

I would like to upgrade my Ram but having trouble with compatibility

My Specs:

Core i3 9100F (SUPPORTS ONLY UP TO 2400MHZ)

Msi B360M PRO-VH

Msi RX 570

I Read that the G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3200MHz has No fallback settings between DDR4-3200 and DDR4-2133

(read on Toms Hardware)

Therefore

Is TeamGroup Vulcan Z 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3200MHz CL16 Compatible with my cpu which can only support 2400MHZ?

Will I be able to adjust this ram to use 2400mhz ?

Does TeamGroup Support fallback settings to adjust to 2400mhz?

Thanks

Yes the motherboard can support but cpu cannot set ram speed above 2400mhz.

that is false the cpu has a base frequency  of 2400

you can get to WAY  above that

I have tried setting above 2400mhz with xmp with hyper fury x ram which had 2666mhz. PC kept restarting and the only ram speed that worked was settings 2400mhz

besides ram speed, do you think the ram I specified will be compatible?

thanks

update the bios

xmp will likely try to set it to 3200 which the board doesnt support

set dram voltage to 1.35 and manually set it to 2666

Updated bios and set manually tried different configs for 2666mhz but realized that intel specifies the i3 can only support speed up to 2400mhz

It is also stated on toms harware

There aren’t any configuration settings for DDR4-2400 or DDR4-2666, so users should be certain that both their CPU and motherboard can support the DDR4-3200 XMP before buying these. Core i3 processors for example are limited to DDR4-2400 (BCLK overclocking can overcome it on K-series Core i3’s) H-series

okay sure thanks for the help. ill try again but this is besides my initial question.

I still would like to know if my cpu will support TeamGroup Vulcan Z 16GB (2x8GB) and if i will be able to adjust the ram frequencies

2400 is the official Limit by intel but you can go higher by simly activating XMP
