Switching HDD from pc to pc, will os change

So 3 years ago I bought a windows usb license off amazon and installed it onto my hdd. If I swap from hard drive between computers will I have a licences windows os.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Gigabyte gtx 1660 Super oc 6g
Mobo:MSI b450 tomahawk max

RAM: 32gb ddr4 lpx vengeance 3200mhz

Storage: WD sn550 1tb, Baracuda 2TB HDD (*In use), Hitachi 2tb HDD, WD 0.5tb HDD (both HDD knackered)

PSU: cxm 450

If it's a retail key you bought then yes, if it's an OEM key no.

If you're signed in with a microsoft account it should transfer straight, if not you might need to reenter the key or call MS to reactivate.

For a retail key does that mean unlimited windows liscenses? or? @Kilrah

It should mean you can transfer the license to a different machine an unlimited number of times. However, you can still only have one installation at a time, since you only have one Windows license.

If you want to swap system from one computer and then back, and if you want to do it often, better but second SSD and clone your system. Faster boot without reconfiguring devices, even if it will be automatic process. And even better - your system may stay activated and you may get only notification from time to time (rare situation).

How would I do this?

But seriously, if you're asking for cloning, use Macrium Reflect. And if you want to be sure your clone will be good, use bootable Rescue USB created by Macrium Reflect and clone offline system.

I was obivously asking about cloning, god i mean who would be asking about how to get the ssd, you'd have to be a total idiot to ask that
