Get a CX non M or TXM if you want modularity. The CXM isn't as good as the CX non M.

Otherwise, I'd say change the board to an X570 Prime P or Phantom Gaming. MUCH better boards at a small price increase over the Tomahawk.

Also check prices on the 5600 XT and 1660 To. The 1660 Super is just a 1660 with G6 memory - not worth the price imho.

You could also move to SSD storage entirely. A Crucial BX500 2TB is the same price as that crappy Toshiba drive

I also don't have the budget for a different motherboard. That board is just there til i wait for the b550 series maybe.

Build Looks solid.

I Have the B450 Tomahawk Max for my 3700X and have no complaints at all.

Its a very solid board without unnessecary features to inflate the price.

And since AMD will Support the next Gen of processors you can still upgrade if you want in the future.

(Theoratically u can get a used 3950x 16 Core Processor and your Mobo will handle it just fine if not overclocked.)

Look out if you can get your Hands on a Phanteks P300A Airflow case and 2 extra fans for the front.

If it can fit in your Budget you will get much better temps.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I would try and squeeze in a 5600XT if possible. They're only about a small bit more in the UK.

If this is the case, you may want to just get a cheapo b450 as a stop gap. Would save you about £30 which u could use to get the 5600XT

I have the P300, non A version, which is a great little case. Great value, decent quality for the price and looks darn good. The A version should be even better with the extra air flow

The tomohawk is a great board. If your sticking with it, it's probably not even worth upgrading to b550, unless you need pcie 4.0 :)

it's not that great. An ASRock B450 Pro4 would be the exact same experience but at half the price meaning you'd get a MUCH faster GPU. That's why I don't recommend the Tomahawk, the price is too inflated and it gets pushed into X570 territory where the boards are MUCH better.

The MSI B450M Mortar MAX at £95.99 is better value. Pretty much the same board but micro ATX format. You get an extra M.2 slot though. It will still work fine in an ATX case.

The Phantom Gaming 4 isn't much better at all in terms of VRM. Not sure why you keep on suggesting it. Go watch Buildzoid's video on the ASRock X570M Pro 4 which has the same VRM.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POwr-o4HBHU

And der8auer has also tested it, and doesn't rate it.

As for the Asus X570 Prime P that board is £169.98.
