There is a program called salad and it ”Mines their own currency which can be redeemed in their application. I have 2 questions 1 does it wear on the GPU 2 is it legit, if anyone here have used it

How much will it wear since the site ”claims” it replicates running bfv on ultra and that seems very false so would using an old gpu be the best to try salad?

Wdym by lose money buying gpus? In that case maybe and i wanna try and see how it would work but maybe should wait overall

@Enderman means that the cost to run the hardware (Electricity and components themselves) is more than you would make by mining.

You lose money by mining on a GPU. If you pay $5 for electricity to mine a $3 gift card, you've lost money. If you wanted to be correct about it, you'd have to factor in the cost of the GPU and the wear, which would make it even worse. You're better of buying the $3 gift card outright.

Electricity costs are higher than what you get, and also that doesn't include the degradation on your GPU which will lower its resale value and lifespan, and if you run it long enough eventually its death.
