4-Drive NAS RAID, One Drive to Mirror the Other 3?

Is it possible for example, in a 4-drive NAS, to have 3 2TB drives and 1 10TB drive that mirrors the other three onto one drive? I'm a new PC builder and am considering making a NAS for Plex and backup. Is this a viable method? Is there a better way? First post here, it seemed like the place to go for such a question as google hasn't solved it for me, and this community is great from what I hear.

Yea you can do that. Just setup some md on linux, or storage spaces, or btrfs, or one of many other solutions

But its much better to just get 2 equal sized drives, or 4 equal sizes drives. With that config, you have the speed of a mirror, but with 4 disks. I don't see what you would want this.

Also mirror isn't the same as a backup, and you probably don't want your back in the same enclosure if the enclosure was stolen, or had a power surge or the building burnt down.

cheap to get say 2 8 or 14tb external drives and shuck them. no need for such a weird drive config.
