My 8700k is having an issue

Ok so I am overclocking my 8700k and I set it at 4.5 all core and ran cinebench am getting a score of only 3371 and when I am not overclocked I get 3350ish I am staying under 80C and am not going below 4.5 what would I even tried a 5ghz (not all core) overclock with only a score of 3450 any one know why this would be happening?

If you decrease the voltage it limits how much power it can get and decreases boosting, so even though the clocks are theoretically higher your processor may be worse or similar in performance.

ehh in stuck it will turbo higher than 4.5ghz. That means for short burst it will in stock config run faster than 4,5 as your OC is.

ohh and just a quick google of the topic gave me this from gamers nexus.

when you lock you speed i will stay at that but cannot boost over.
