These are some programs I will be running on my new PC to avoid any malware. What do you guys think?

Avast! or ESET NOD32 Antivirus (Haven't decided yet)

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro

Ad Block

Web of Trust

I know I'm forgetting some so I will post more as I remember them. This isn't overkill because I don't want to take any chances of getting any infection... ever.

just use malwarebytes, no need to flood your system will all kinds of software. I have no anti virus or anything, and I've never had malware/viruses. You just need to keep an eye out on what sites you are going to and what you are downloading.

It wouldn't slow down my system at all.

Common Sense 2014, running ad-block on sketchy sites, and running Malwarebytes Pro should do you well.

If you're running ad-block you should consider turning it off on YouTube and these forums. Its nice to support content creators
