32GB (2x16GB) for a Ryzen 3600X

Hi, I'm looking at getting a 64GB (2x16GB) Ram kit for my R5 3600X.   I found two at Microcenter that that looks interesting and is in my price range:

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 PC4-25600 CL16 16-18-18-38 Dual Channel Desktop $149.99
G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3600 PC4-28800  CL 16-19-19-39 CL16 Dual Channel Memory Kit $178.99

If anyone could good give advice at which one would be better for the R5 3600X?  I also have a Gigabyte RX 5700  I don't plan to overclock the CPU much.   Thanks.

If they have it and is in your price range, try for the Trident Z Neo 3200MHz CL14. F4-3200C14D-32GTZN. I just ordered this kit myself. After looking around, a lot of people say 3200MHz CL14 is the sweet spot Ryzen.

The Trident Z NEO series is made for ryzen with better compatibility etc. But the normal ones work fine.

 

That being said, main difference is the 3200 and 3600MHz speed. Sure the 3600MHz will yield you maybe 1-2% performance increase from the 3200MHz, but whether its worth the $29 is up to you. Both will work just fine.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.   I think I'll go with the 3600Mhz since it'll be likely compatible with Ryzen.

not necessarily, i have 3 kits of the same 3200MHz non-neo kits in 2 builds right now, were used for testing on different rigs in the past, many of them Ryzen.
