You can set how browser reacts to different files from its settings.

I know, it doesn't work. It is on the protocol association level, and I have no option to remove/change/or another app since it have to be stupid MS Windows app and not a program. I try used regedit but it doesn't work, I am guessing MS Windows app use a different regedit and I can't find it. Any options, with command prompt could work too.

Can you state clearly what protocol and what app you are having issues with and why you want to disable it

No windows does not provide options for customising virtual desktops. Try this maybe?

And moved as it wasn't originally clear what OS was in question.
