I have three PC's and two laptops at home.  Problem is one PC eats up my internet when I am downloading large files or games in it.  My entire home network will either lose internet connection or have a very slow internet connection, Netflix won't load on my TV, even the mobile phones connected to my WiFi will have slow connection.  This only happens on one PC, the others does not eat up my internet even if I download large files or games.  Does anyone have the same issue?

This is something you can usually solve with the QoS setting in your router. Is the client wired or wireless?

No, I have never seen this problem and I have about 6-7 PCs, 5 phones, a couple of tables, gaming consoles, and 3 TVs all connected to my internet.  Not everything at the same time mind you, but at any one given time a lot of these devices are on.

As @Windows7ge suggested, check your router for QoS and you can on most PC game downloading clients also limit the bandwidth it will use.

That is normal if you're not setting any rules in the router.

Google "QOS yourroutername" and read the tutorial.

QOS stands for Quality Of Service.

Yes either with a decent router and QoS (Quality of Service) settings or just throttle the bandwidth on this one computer.

Most download platforms have some kind of bandwidth limiter to set.Calculate how much you need on your other devices and then substract 10 percent for good measure. If your TV is streaming 1080p, it should have 8 mbits for smooth playback, I am guessing about 1 to 2 mbits for each phone will be fine and let's say 4 mbits for each other pc for gaming and stuff.

A good quality router from brands like ASUS will do that for you.

Appreciate the replies but it only occurs when using one specific PC.  Let's say I have PC1, PC2 and PC3.  When i download large files or games on PCs 1 and 2, everything is fine, no internet throttling.  I am only having problems with PC3.  If it is a router problem, whether I am using PC1, PC2 or PC3 to download, it should have the same effect right?  Or I'm missing something here.  I'm no expert in network layouts or settings so I'm not sure.  I do not have this problem before.  Problem started only after I added PC3.  Only PC3 is throttling my internet, no issues if I am downloading using PC1 and PC2 or either of the laptops on WIFI.

I have all PCs on wired network.  Laptops and all in WiFi.  Before adding PC3, one of my laptops is also wired.  PC3 was a replacement for that laptop.

Still activate QoS at the router. If the router is controlling the traffic of the entire network, it should be able to throttle any client’s consumption at that level.

What kind of network adapter is this problematic PC using? Have you tried resetting the network adapter?

What are the specs of your 3 computers?

How much does your ISP advertise your speed "should be" given the price/package you pay for?

What speed do you get on each of the 3 computers when you run a bandwidth speed test?

-PC1:

-PC2:

-PC3:

PC1: R7 2700X, x470, 32gb, RTX2080
PC2: R5 2600, a320m, 16gb, GTX1650S
PC3: R3 2200g, a32om, 16gb, RX580 <problem PC>

100mpbs as ISP advetised.  Getting around 80-90% if all PCs are being used (playing games, facebook, youtube, etc.) plus all other WIFi devices connected.  If someone is downloading a large file in any PC/device (except PC3), I'm getting arround 50-60% result on speedtest.  But if PC3 starts downloading something.  All other device will either have no internet connection or a very slow connection.

Will check on this.  All PCs are using its default onboard LAN port.  If you are referring to the network reset in 'Network & Internet Settings', I already tried and still having the problem.
