The pcie cable that connects to my gpu is broken?

The cable has 8 pins or 6 pins I dont remember, so it has 2 pins that are not together with the others? Or is it broken

That’s supposed to be like that, it’s to be compatible with both cards that have a 6 pin connector and cards that have a 8 pin connector. If you card has a 6 pin connector, just plug in the 6 pin part and leave the +2 pin part hanging off. If you have a 8 pin connector, connect the 6 pin and 2 pin parts to create a 8 pin connector and then plug it in.
