Get a cupholder!

To me, the best use of a 5.25" bay is either:

- cardreader(s)

- HDD quick swap bay

- Drawer (like, an actual small drawer to store items in)

I mean really it's up to your imagination a 5.25 space is pretty decent area to stash stuff in, maybe like a pair of pull out mini joypads or something for playing retro games.

you could put a whole range of mini electronics in there, stand alone radio/media player, alarm clock, lol you could even put a possibly rig up a one slice horizontal toaster, or a pez dispenser type thing so all you do is push on it and it gives you candy.

throw in a bit 3D printing you could make pretty much any mount/rack for anything small enough.

I'm currently thinking of doing something like just to plug my USB in so it's hidden behind a removable door, and they are always plugged in

That would be cool if you could somehow rig it up so it looks like a normal DVD drive but when you push the eject button the usb plugs comes out automatically on a CD-tray then retreats behind a door.
