Bios update on Asus X570-3, Did I do something wrong?

Hi LTT Forum!

Yesterday I updated my Bios via Ez Flash 3 with Internet (So no USB).

It downloaded the Bios update,

Installed it,

Then the computer just shut down and booted back up with no image on monitor,

I thought "Maybe it's just installing the Bios update?".

I waited maybe 5-10 minutes, then I decided something was wrong so turned the computer off,

Then when booting it the Asus motherboard showed Error Code 02.

Nervous as I was I switched from Displayport cable to HDMI (In GPU), Same issue

Switched both DP & HDMI from GPU to motherboard connections.

Same issue,

Sat on phone and googling while restarting computer over and over thinking I destroyed it.

Unplugged the GPU as well, Still same issue.

Replugged the GPU,

Started the computer,

Message on screen appeared "Updating BIOS don't shutdown the computer".

Restarted itself after 2 seconds.

Now everything is back to normal,

Nothing was wrong with the GPU itself or the GPU conneciton on the PC.

What happened?
Is this normal during BIOS updates?

Thanks.

On some boards an update can last half an hour and with multiple reboots, some of them might not display anything, best thing to do is start it and leave it alone until it's back up, if it doesn't seem to come back I would at least wait an hour before a force shutdown.

You also NEVER use Windows easy flash crap. ALWAYS do it manually through the BIOS utility. This is just a massive shitshow you've managed to create

That's what he did, although with the built-in internet based thingy instead of file on a USB drive. Would expect that to take longer and need more steps than USB.

I used the Asus Ez Flash 3 that is in Bios.

EZ Flash -> Internet Update (Message that it will reboot with internet active in bios) -> Download + install directly.

How come, Everything is working just fine now (After half an hour of struggle..).

Pc boots fine now,

Bios says the updated version,

Restarts works fine,

No indication of any issues at the moment
