Posted May 19, 2020 If the box of the motherboard does not say Ryzen 3000 Ready anywhere on it, I would suspect that it is an older release B450 and was not shipped with the bios to support Ryzen 3000 series processors. If you have a CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT header for the cooler, please make sure the connecter from the cooler is plugged into the CPU_FAN header. This symptom was identical to my friends X570 build, did not get a POST due to the header being plugged into CPU_OPT header. The whole PC turns on. If a B450 board supports 3000 series processors out of the box it will say Ryzen 3000 Ready on the box. I would suspect the Bios is out of date. Matter of fact I am confident thats the problem. I would try and find an older 2000 or 1000 ryzen or even an athlon processor to plug in and update bios, other than that you will have to either take it to your local pc hardware store and get the techs to update bios, or submit a ticket to AMD for a loaner CPU to do the update.
