AIO Cooler VS Noctua NH-U12S

I recently upgraded from an Ryzen 7 1700x to a Ryzen 5 3600x. One thing I've noticed is a temperature increase from how the 3600x boosts continuously. I'm seeing idle temps around 30-35c and gaming temps around 50-55c.

 

I currently am using a Noctua NHU12s and considered it a pretty decent air cooler. My question for everyone is whether I should invest in a 240mm AIO? Would it do a better job of keeping the temp spikes down? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You may see better temps, but you'll still see the same spiking behavior.

I had same cooler on my 3600 oc to 4.2 on all cores and i have swapped to a AIO but also a new case so its hard to tell but its around a 5-10 degree drop, the only thing i would say is it is a lot quieter and i do like the zero fan rpm option on my aio , but your temps are fine, my idle temps are the same as yours, gaming is 44-52,
