Intel vs Amd

Do you think that Amd cpu's would out perform Intel cpu's for a cheaper price in the future in terms of anything?

 

Any thoughts would be appricaited.

They currently do and eventually Intel will climb back. These two have been leapfrogging each other for years. But who knows, will this all change if Apple makes a big splash with their rumored ARM based chips for Mac? Again, only time will tell. 

 

But we should probably leave things at that before this thread becomes a fanboy flame war.

That is correct. I just saw that intel will release the 10th gen cpu's and that could beat amd ryzen cpu's in gaming? 

I mean right now they are but only by a bit. Maybe this time by a lot?

This is the General Discussion so nothing is wrong with this thread. The only concern is the moment anything like this becomes a flame war (which in most cases, it does unfortunately...), you can guarantee staff will shut it down.

In what application? It's impossible to say without a use case. It's also impossible to predict the future. It's all just uninformed speculation. One or both companies could go up in flames for all we know.

"Which brand is best" type debates aren't allowed and they're rarely productive.
