What language? What do you want to do?

Learn the basics of programming as a concept or learn a whole language?

Do you want to spend money or want a free course?

There are hundreds of YouTube classes and other free courses online. You just have to look for them.

https://www.learncpp.com/ is a good one.

The Eight Fallacies of Distributed Computing

Essentially everyone, when they first build a distributed application, makes the following eight assumptions. All prove to be false in the long run and all cause big trouble and painful learning experiences.

  1. The network is reliable
  2. Latency is zero
  3. Bandwidth is infinite
  4. The network is secure
  5. Topology doesn’t change
  6. There is one administrator
  7. Transport cost is zero
  8. The network is homogeneous

That won't go away by switching languages. In fact, the problem is likely to get worse by switching to C++, not better.

This is a quote from an eerily timely Facebook ad:

Quote

Programming isn't about what you know, it's about what you can figure out.

Until you solve that problem, the only meal you can make is copy pasta.

Even simple games are relatively hard, have you considered learning programming basics before trying to make games?

Totally agree with this I've been programming professional for almost 3 years now, before that I did a degree in computer science and I still don't think I'd want to try make a game.
