Which GPU Should I go for?

Xander Cousins

Soooo I'm currently looking to upgrade my GPU as my current r9 270x is starting to fall behind in some games i have been playing and maybe it's time to move on from it.

So far I have two different cards in mind;

XFX Radeon Rx 590

https://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Radeon-GDDR5-DVI-D-Graphics/dp/B07JQDKNXS/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2X7RMI1PJBHCU&dchild=1&keywords=gpu&qid=1589373546&s=computers&sprefix=GPU%2Ccomputers%2C152&sr=1-4&th=1

and the

XFX RX 5500 XT

https://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-3xDisplay-PCI-Express-Graphics-RX-55XT8DFD6/dp/B082KYFDYC/ref=pd_sbs_147_2/261-2996367-4569543?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B082KYFDYC&pd_rd_r=4a3f2994-0f7e-4d1f-b63a-94d671bb31e8&pd_rd_w=Wj9HQ&pd_rd_wg=EmXI7&pf_rd_p=2773aa8e-42c5-4dbe-bda8-5cdf226aa078&pf_rd_r=QQJF4DN4QQ0RN9PKKFWS&psc=1&refRID=QQJF4DN4QQ0RN9PKKFWS

If it was to be between these two what ones would you guys suggest?

And if you have a suggestion that is around the similar price range as these Gpu's feel free to throw it below and explain if it will work better than the ones i have looked at.

Many thanks in advance :D

Some people prefer a challenge, I just band my head against a wall until my method works...

I'd personally go for the XFX RX 5500 XT since it is newer, faster memory (GDDR6), and is more likely to be supported longer.

I actually first started PC gaming with a 270X, then went to buying another one to crossfire after building a custom computer.

A used rx580? Within 5-10% of either and easily found for under 100 normally.

I did think of going for the 580 but i'm trying to get a new card with a decent life span (lookin to last for the next couple years.

A used gtx 1060 6gb or rx580 is pretty much going to do that but if you are not wanting to go used then that 5500 is the better deal here. Both are quite expensive tho for what they are.

Like their is a 1660 OC 6GB for £207 on amazon. So that makes 3 to choose from
