How do you like to monitor system temp etc?

Hi All

Kind of a discussion and interested in people's approaches, I've just created a new custom loop (build log with more info if you're interested) after not properly modding any computers for a while and having to use a laptop for an extended period.

On my old computers I'd used AIO software if using an AIO which often gave the information, HWinfo64 or with my laptop it had software for OC, fans etc built in for CPU and GPU.

How do you like to monitor your system/what are your methods without too much bloat?

I use MSI Afterburner's OSD in game for CPU, GPU temps/utilization/ clock speeds, RAM usage, FPS, and VRAM usage. On regular Windows, I have HW Monitor but I hardly ever open it up unless stress testing.

Seems like we all like HWinfo then, though like Alex said, I don't tend to use it unless I'm testing.

I've just been having a look at Rainmeter which apparently integrates with HWinfo, it'd be nice to have something lightweight but still able to display specific stats I'm interested in.

Just as a followup, I'm testing using Rainmeter with an HWinfo plugin and following the details on this link:

I'm not the biggest fan on the skip and have customised it a bit to make it suit my theme a little better but is mostly what I was looking for, real time monitoring stats for specific hardware.

I'll have a look at more options, if anyone else has some other lightweight way of doing thios sort of thing let me know :)

I have Afterburner for  GPU fan control and active monitoring. Though I don't really look at it unless something seems to be wrong. Or if I need to get baseline for something. I use HWiNFO currently for more detailed checks.
