I have a solution for Asus monitors Specifically Asus VG248

Regarding the ASUS VG248 MONITORS, or any ASUS monitors with a sudden no displayport signal. This is a stupid fix, but it always works when your monitor will not resume from sleep.
Unplug it for 10 seconds, and plug it back in.

It seriously works, and I've done it to the 3 ASUS MONITORS I have. But it seems to not just be isolated to the VG248 line of monitors or it's variants. I've seen reports from SEVERAL monitors NOT of this line.
