Bad mic in-game

LazyPigeon

My microphone might not be the best, but it works well in discord, team speak and anywhere else. But in csgo the sound quality is so bad people dont respond to me. Noone can understand me, the sound is super boosted.

i don't know never had this problem so never went into the sc audio settings but from a theoretical point of view this is the best explanation

Check what Win 10 is doing to your mic for output levels.  Cause if you are amplifying in OS, and then in the games software it probably would sound distorted.

Or is your machine such that its struggling to keep up with the game and other applications at the same time?

Let us know if that had any affect - if it doesn't, what CPU? Or does it only not work in CSGO but works fine with other games?

Yeah CPU shouldn't be an issue then

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to Hardware and Sound
3. Go to Sound
(A small property box should appear)
4. Go to Recording Tab
You should see a line saying "Select a recording device below to modify its settings:
5. Right Click on the recording device(Suppose : Microphone) and select properties.
6. Now go to advanced tab and un-check the "Enable audio enhancements"
7. Click apply and then OK

What happens in CSGO?

There is no box that says  "Enable audio enhancements"
