I just upgraded my system with a second hand amd radeon xfx rx580 8gb. i went to change my display resolution after install to what i have for a display (1366x768) and that option isnt there. on my other system, it is there with just about every other resolution i could think of. i have attached a screenshot of the resolutions that pop up. any ideas on how i can get the resolution that i need?image.thumb.png.75542eeb27f84eadf7913be07f332014.png

In your signature, it says you had a GTX 980 Ti.

So...

  1. Did you uninstall the nVidia graphics drivers FIRST before swapping the RX-580?
  2. What did you uninstall the old nVidia drivers? Did you use DDU?
  3. Did you install the latest AMD graphics drivers after installing the RX-580 into your system?

Separate builds. this was refreshing my old gaming pc for one of my friends. new windows, new drives, new ram, new everything but case pretty much. no old drivers. installed the latest driver

Ah I see...

1366x768 is a 683:384 ratio resolution, rather than a typical 16:9, 16:10, or 4:3 resolutions.

As @Slottr pointed out, you may need to configure a custom resolution.

I also briefly looked up the specifications for that TV.

Even though the panel resolution is 1366x768, it only supports these resolutions:

Quote

Supported Display Resolution

Computer formats
  • 640 x 480, 60Hz
  • 720 x 480, 60Hz
  • 800 x 600, 60Hz
  • 1024 x 768, 60Hz
  • 1280 x 768, 60Hz
  • 1360 x 768, 60Hz
Video formats
  • 480i, 60Hz
  • 480p, 60Hz
  • 720p, 60Hz
  • 1080i, 60Hz

I would try the custom resolution steps again, but see if something like 1360x768 will work.

Because it is a TV, rather than a monitor, you may have to play with the underscan / overscan settings in the AMD drivers afterwards.
