Posted May 4, 2020 Hey guys Okay so, the Gaming X MSi's are the most affordable decent 5700's available from my local store, the sapphires are more funnily enough, so im looking to grab one for my Ryzen 5 3600 build and new rig. I plan to game on a 1440P 144hertz monitor, now, i picked this monitor up cheap and i see alot of people complain about gaming at 60 fps on 144hertz, i dont care about that, 60 fps with vsync is what im used to and im happy with that so 60 fps is my goal. 5700 699$ AUD 5700 XT 799$ 699 is pushing my budget, so is 799 but i can do it if its going to be a better choice but from what ive read, it seems alot of people just picked up the 5700 and OC it to match the 5700 XT and performance is pretty much the same and temps. or would it better just to pony up for the XT and go over budget for future proofing i do like the fact that the 5700 normal would run cooler in australia summers, i could undervolt/downclock and still get decent 1440p performance i hope Also a note, i have a 650W Toughpower Thermaltake PSU in the build, ive already paid for that, but AMD suggest a 750W PSU, so i hope thats enough to run these cards As for games i mostly play Div 2 Destiny 2 ffxiv a few single player ones nothing heavy and little indie games
 Posted May 4, 2020 That colour is horrible for everyone using dark mode (most of us). Youtube comparisons put the 5700 at roughly 80-100 FPS at 1440 with a R5 3600, should be fine. When you write a post, there’s the letter “A” with a bar underneath above where you write your message, it’s not an account setting, it’s an html text setting. Or maybe get a next gen nvidia card, will be better for higher resolutions. Not a chance he's getting a 2080. Sloth's the name, audio gear is the game I'll do my best to lend a hand to anyone with audio questions, studio gear and value for money are my primary focus. I prefer new because the store I buy from has a warehouse five minutes from me, so warranty is nice Also what sloth said, AUD prices are insane
