Why does my 1080 ti say it has 4gb of ram?

Interstellarfox

Hi I recently bought a GTX 1080 TI and I was doing some benchmarks with it and it is saying some odd thing in userbenchmark I was wondering if this was normal, in GPU-Z everything looks fine as well as in task manager and the card is authentic as far as GPU-Z says (all modern Nvidia drivers work on it) is userbenchmark it also says it has 4gb and 11gb or ram? image.thumb.png.863834e73f220a6a32eeabedc825955d.png

That symbol is greater or equal to 4gb.

The way it's presented is pretty stupid. So there's that.

I read it as your GPU has at least 4gb of VRAM, and then it specifies 11gb.

I wouldn't stress too much about the performance being at 11th percentile. Your sample is performing at 120% of the baseline. So it seems to be functioning properly. It just means other people have overclocked theirs more and have benched with those settings.

Yup, as there are GPUs on the market that are under 4GB, it's reporting your card in the 4GB segment

Just like mine

Dell(1028 08C5) ≥ 4GB
CLim: 2100 MHz, MLim: 3500 MHz, Ram: 6GB, Driver: 442.59

Thanks, I was kinda odd seeing it, not sure why it feels the need to report it (:

thanks, yeah I guess I need to read more in the fine print, I am revamping my whole system including  water cooling the gpu so perhaps I can get that score up, thanks for the help, I was confused on why my 1080 TI was showing that and other 1080ti's where not
