Bluetooth Earphones Play/Pause in Plex

Was the Play/Pause functionality on Android with Bluetooth earphones ever fully fixed for all devices? I'm using an S10 5G with the Momentum TW2 and for some reason the single tap for pausing songs works just fine but the single tap to resume playback doesn't.

Have you disabled all the battery saving features for the app?

On Smart Control or Plex? Sorry I'm a bit of a noob and I couldn't find any battery saving stuff in Smart Control or Plex!

In android settings.

Some phones have aggressive power saving features and can decide that as soon as the app isn't actively playing anymore it can be put to deep sleep and thus won't receive the command to start playing again.
