Not able to Reposition my Desktop to the Monitor.

EToTheDoubleM

Hello linustechtips community,

unfortunately my monitor broke and I have a big black stripe on the right side of it.

My goal is to put my desktop on a lower resolution and push the picture to the bottom left of my screen.

Then I still would be able to use my applications in full screen mode.

I managed to change the resolution using nvidia's control panel, but I am not able to change the position. It is always centered.

I don't find the option to do so.

Thanks for everyone trying to help me out! (^_^)/

Kind regards
EtotheMM

I believe the monitor itself would have to be able to position it. I don't know of any software that can do this.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

Thanks for responding Jae Tee,

I have an Optix MAG241CV. Also, on the monitor itself I didn't found the positioning option.
