hello i need help for my pc and i wanted some info. Basically, i use an msi z390 gaming plus motherboard, with an msi frozr l. but the problem is its blocking the first pair of ram sticks. so if i want to upgrade it, does anyone know a an thats compatible with this motherboard or should i go with water cooling ? (the ram is 2x8 gb lpx vengeance, and i wanted to add another pair)

Doesn't seem like there is room under the heatsink (the heatsink sits 28.5mm above the motherboard surface, while the Corsair LPX memory is 31mm tall).

Have you considered rotating around the heatsink?

Although that could interfere with a particularly large videocard in the top slot.

 

Otherwise you need to get watercooling or an air cooler that has at least 31mm of room under  the heatsink

Is the heatsink itself hanging above the ram or just the fan? Can you raise the fan?
