Suggest me some sata 3 cards

Hello there, I have been coding for a few years but I am not very familiar with hardware, pc building etc. I would like to connect a hard drive to my computer but there are no sata ports available. I read that the best way to "add" sata ports is by using a sata card. It would be really helpfull if you could suggest me some. I don't want it to cost more than $100, which i think is way too much for a sata card, anyway.

Keep in my mind that my PCI-E X16 is already being used. Also please make sure that the sata card is compatible with my motherboard.

Startech make a decent one for $40. There are a few out there for cheap, just see one with good reviews, it doesnt need to be super fancy.
