Which has more value?

I'm thinking about getting a gpu for my virgin i5-9600k @5gHz. I have 3 options:

A. Used 1070 for 250$

B. New 1660 super for 280$

C. Used rx580 8gb for 140$+more ram+ssd
What should I get?
Total spec:

i5-9600k @5gHz

1x8gb DDR4-3200
1tb HDD
550W 80+ Gold 
Asus Z390-F

We really need to know the full system spec to tell you if more RAM would be useful...

 

But an SSD is always a good idea, and they can be really cheap. You can get a 250 GB for like 50 bucks..... I would try and get a 500 as it will be more versatile, but really need to know the entire system spec to offer better advice.

what ram do you have already. the rx 580 is little better than 1060 but little worse than 1660 super.

what psu and ram do you have?

get the rx 580. another 8 gb ram stick (get the same one you already have) and crucial p1 ssd's are decent value now.

Thats.... really hard. So, you really would benefit from dual channel RAM, which means getting another stick. And an SSD will make your day to day life MUCH better. But, with that.... the GPU you get you will likely hold onto for a while.

 

What you could do, I would get the 580 (or find a used on) and the more RAM and SSD. Then in a few months if you can save up some more cash, sell the GPU and get a better one, and at least you will already have the RAM and SSD that entire time.

 

Hard spot, but without dual channel RAM you will be leaving solid performance on the table, and without an SSD I don't know how you even use your PC. They make a world of difference.

In my place, the price for a 16gb stick and a 8gb stick are same (DDR4-3200)

Should I get a 16 gb one? Will it affect the dual channel?

if its the same model, get the 16 gb one. it will still run at dual channel. make sure it has the same manufacturer, speed (mhz), latency (cl)

1660 Super for sure. That price is a rip off for a card that old, I pick up mine for around $100 each.

Fps difference between 1660 super vs 1070 is about 16fps(1660 super<1070)
When it comes to price, its only 30$ gap
