Well i honestly have not built a PC in quite a while, and i am going to be doing a new build and need a bit of help, i will be using it for basic things like web browsing and such but also video editing, rendering, programs like maya, gaming and recording. and some photography editing and such like photoshop.

i know i want at least a 780ti in it.

not too sure which CPU to get

i would assume id be fine with 16GB of RAM

going with only SSDs, so either a 1TB SSD or 2 500gb or 4 250 GB SSDs in RAID 0.

as for power supply i would like to have some extra wattage in case i decide to add another graphics card and any other future upgrades.

i will also be needing windows , dont know if i should get 8.1 or 8.1 pro, what is really the difference?

also will be needing to get monitors, i have two ideas in mind, either a triple set up of nice IPS 1080p monitors, or a nice 27inch 1440 monitor with an additional monitor in portrait mode.

also a keyboard(macro keys are a plus although not needed, but i LOVE separate media keys, mechanical, RGB backlit) and a gaming mouse with mousepad.

also i will probably be getting a caselabs case.

so does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd go with a 1TB drive for the SSD. Less chance of failure.

I'd go with 16GB of RAM, more if you're heavily into Photoshop although you can just dedicate some of the SSD to a scratch disk.

I can't recall the exact differences with Pro but I'm 99% sure it's useless.

Sounds like a K70 is in your future keyboard wise.

what would be a good all in one water cooler for the cpu? i want to do a full custom loop and cable sleeving and all the fun stuff but i figure this is already going to be pretty expensive and i think ill take it one step at a time in that regard

A H220 is one of the best performing 240mm AIO coolers out there at the moment, it gives the option of expanding the loop if you feel necessary. Add some more blocks, tubing, a rad preferrably if you want to W/C your GPU(s) in the future.

You should probably read this: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Regarding 8.1 Pro. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compare

Basically, I don't see the point in you needing the pro version..

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

i like that,

also just so everyone knows i am in new york state so running off of USD

so id like to be able to build my PC, also get my peripherals, a backlit mechanical keyboard, a gaming mouse, triple 1080p monitors, or one nice 1440 monitor and an additional 1080p, and a nice pair of headphones, also i need  a large desk( Lshaped and large, im thinking the cheapest would be to get some wood from the hardware store and drill some pre made legs into it) as part of my budget. and a nice chair. i want to aim for 3000, but if that can not be done than 3500 is kind of where i dont want to go over
