I play games(fps) and getting into photography so i will be using the pc for editing also...

THINGS I NEED TO BUY
Casing and almost everything that sits inside it!
I recently bought a gtx760 msi oc
so i dont need a gpu...
I have 2 hard disks (but no SSD), and I also dont need optical drives for now...
I need,
- processor, preferably  i5 4th gen haswell (didnt fixed the exact model yet)
-motherboard, preferably with gaming features like good sound card, OC and all...
might add a second gtx760 later this year, not sure... if not too expensive, SLI supportive would be good!
-RAM, i think 16gig would be enough for me...
-PSU, according to the processor(haswell) and gpu and keeping some extra power for future optical drive or another gpu...
-and a casing, with front usb and not too expensive one...

I will run at stock speeds until I get a after market cooler...
I would like your recommendation on which version of i5? i guess the one marked with 'K' at the end would be great, for less difficulty in overclocking! What brand motherboard to get? seems like asus and msi are ahead of gigabyte? Gold Plated usb for my sensei, correct me if i am wrong but i dont think that makes much of a difference?  I really dont know that much! Ram with heatsink would be good i guess and looks good too! what ghz? I saw in one of NCIX videos that extreme pro ones with high GHz are not worth the extra money cause very little increase in performance? ddr2 or ddr3? PSU wattage?

And I would also like to get my first 120 or 144hz monitor preferably 27inch and with 3D vission2 support!

benQ? asus? other brands? best color within TN panels?

Your help will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Is "not too expensive" mean under $100?

Edit: also 120Hz is a bit more than a 760 can handle at 1080p unless you are running medium settings.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

You definetely dont need 16gb of ram.

It's not a bad thing to have though. I never thought I'd use 16GB but now I don't see how anyone could get by without it

Well I mean for gaming and just web browsing he wont need it for sure. Max he'll probably use is like 6gb.

The corsair RM 1000 is a good psu and if you want a good gaming board that OC's well the get a Republic of gamers board A.K.A. Republic of over clockers

He'd only need like a 750 for dual 760s.  1k is ENTIRELY to much

He said he will be using his PC for Gaming "And" Photo/Video editing, so 16GB of RAM is fine.

And you have to think, games and software are getting more and more complex, take Star Citizen for example. Star Citizen "minimum" system requirements are 8GB of RAM, and 12GB RAM is recommended.

Really soon the "8GB RAM for Gaming" rule is going to go up for all games. You have to move with the times people. I always say, if you can afford 16GB RAM (2x8GB) or more (Without cheaping out on the other parts), then go for it. Because overkill hardware is not a bad thing, actually its a good thing. If he wants 16GB RAM, then that is what he wants, he is paying for it, its his money.

I build ALL my computers with nothing less then 16GB RAM. Memory is cheap enough these days, that you can get 16GB (2x8GB) for a decent price (depending on the brand and model). Just don't get 32GB of Dominator Platinum (4x8GB), because I payed over $500 for that 32GB Kit. lol. Unless that is what you want, I bought that kit just because that is wanted for that build. No one can tell you not to get something, if that is what you really want, its your money.
