lol i want a good quality mouse that will last awhile and also be great for FPS and occasional mmo games. ive got a medium size hand. griping the mouse??

It's a very personal choice. What do you want? How do you grip your mice? how large is your hand? What games  do you play? 100 bucks on a mouse is A LOT! It can buy you at least 95% of the commercially available mice. :D

Would you like to use some macros? Sometimes useful for mmos. Grip style, is how you grab your mouse. By the finger tips/ with your wrest on the back of the mouse, clawing the mouse, or with the compelte hand flat on the mouse?

I'd just say CM Strom Havoc. Good allrounder, i have it, it's comfy, ithas Omron switches and isn't that pricy actually.

who cares...

If you are serious about FPS games, get a mouse with a flawless sensor (optical, not laser) such as Razer DeathAdder 2013, Logitech G400s, Corsair Raptor M40, SteelSeries Rival, Zowie AM/FK/EC Evo, Roccat Kone Pure Optical, CM Storm Spawn/Recon or Mionix Naos 7000.

Laser sensors have a small "flaw" that gives them a tiny amount of acceleration even if it is turned off through software.

As for Corsair vs. Roccat, I'd rate them both equal in terms of quality. However, I like Corsair's shapes a bit better.

M45 is an updated version of the M40. They both use a flawless sensor, but the M45 has a bit higher maximum DPI (not really that important) and its more customizeable (in increments of 50 DPI from 50 to 5000 vs. M40's 800/1600/3200/4000 only settings).

The M40/M45 isn't necessarily the best for palming unless you have small hands. I'd say they are better for clawing.

For palming I would recommend DeathAdder, G400s, Rival or Naos 7000.

Yes. They are both 8200 DPI Laser mice.

It really is personal preference. I don't find there to be any difference in performance between laser and optical. Your results may very.

If you have time, read this article: http://www.overclock.net/t/951894/the-truthful-mouse-guide

Ultimately its up to the individual to find out if the laser's flaws are noticeable and/or effect your performance.
