Why don't they have one standard connector for all RGB fans? like one six pin, everyone uses it .. all fans compatible with all controllers.. and everything I got is Asus sync compatible

i dont no man that just how people make there products. lest be different.  as for the rgb there are many different chips on them and they work with a pwm signal and some only work with a serten range. and some don't work with each other. the company wont tell you what chips are on there products so....up to guessing. they want you to buy there eco system so everything is "compatible"

I have an Asus Rog Strix B450F Gaming with 2 RGB Headers

I am planing on running 6 RGB Halo fans, with a 5 meter Rgb Strip, Rgb Ram, RGB Cpu Block .. Did I mention R.G.B

So I am trying to get all my RGB on one Hub and connected to the Motherboard using Asus Aroura Sync

I just purchased

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XRSKVP7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and had to purchase the hub separately cause it did not come with it.

https://www.newegg.com/p/1W8-00PS-00018?Item=9SIA9F99H82538

The Cpu is S.I.C.K it needs it own 16 port hub lol

Problem # the first is I am not sure which RGB fans and Strips are compatible with this hub

I currently have 3 of these https://www.newegg.com/aigo-dr12-case-fan/p/1YF-00A4-00045

and 3 other RGB knock offs from Amazon that started with 5 and now i have 3 left.

Questions

#Do I get a new pack of 6 fans and run the Cpu Seperately ?

To buy 3 of what i have new would cheaper to replace with a knock off brand

# Do I suck it up and buy 3 More of the https://www.newegg.com/aigo-dr12-case-fan/p/1YF-00A4-00045

# Do I find fans that are compatible with https://www.newegg.com/p/1W8-00PS-00018?Item=9SIA9F99H82538

You have 2 rgb headers anyways so I don't see a problem here.

so i got a pinout guide for Barrow. if you can solder an make your own cables you could see if wit works. if not can be hard to buy premade cables to get the job done ill see what i can do thow...

so the darkflash uses a proprietary 6pin connector in to the hub and uses the standerd 2+1 argb pin to the mb. i no there's a pinout guide somewhere for the darkflash but i dont have it i dont think. there is a cable you can buy thow that may or may not help. its posable that this might be it but dont no just trial and error

barrow uses the stander 3pin fan header for its argb stuff.

other problem is 5meeter argb strip  probley wont work on the darkflash or your mb header so you going to have to get power from the psu which you will need to solder or uses solder less solutions.

other question will the darkflash work with aura i don't no. will barrow work with asus aura i don't no. then there's a problem of how the program will allow so many leds per channel yes there maybe be mods software that may or may not help.

Both of you are very helpful so I bought 3 more of dark flash halos, so one controller for 6 case fans is good and the Barrow block looks like it's made for thread ripper.. it's got infinity RGB ..

The rabbit hole goes deeper my rear case fan takes a fairly "JANKY" 80mm or 100mm case fans and the only ones I am finding are on CPU blocks .. that are compatible with one of my two controllers

Opted out of 5m RGB and got 3 precut magnetic strips which will connect to my dark flash.. my PSU will have addressable RGB

i dont think argb/rgb should be 6pin heres why. one lets you control the rgb and fan form different controllers more flexibility. would be nice is they do use standard connectors thow. the 2+1 connector has a flaw and can come unconnected. i think the jst-sm connector should be the standard but maybe there's not a good mb header for it? corsairs connector is a pane to find and to unplug imo over the jst-sm (probly why they picked it in the first place) but that connector has be around in pcs for a long long time way back when you had a cable from your cd drive to the mb or sound card to use the 3.5mm jack in the front of the cd drive.

using a smaller connector on say aquacomputer, coolermaster, nzxt means that over time the connector can wiggle losses imo but anyway
