Hi,

Before I begin I want to apologize in advance for my terrible english.

I recently upgraded my system. I got a new motherboard, cpu and ram. Everything runs better then before since I was running a I5 4460 before. I ran a benchmark and my graphics card was underperforming. Since I never had a problem with it I searched for the reason. I used this (https://pc-builds.com/calculator/) and it tells me that my gpu is bottlenecking my system. Since I just bought the other parts I'm not willing to spent even more for a new gpu just for a few more fps in games. On the other hand I don't know by how much it affects my performance in future games. I really don't know what to do, thats why I'm posting something on here. If anyone has had a similar problem or a build comparable to mine please let me know how yours is doing.

Best regards

Dirk

@dirkdirkensen those 2 parts should not be bottlenecking. There is another problem in your system or bottleneck with other parts.

NOTE: I AM NEVER ALWAYS RIGHT, BUT I AM HAPPY TO HELP ANYWAY I CAN

unfortunately that website is useless

what games are you getting bad performance? What settings, resolution, refresh rate, and ram speed?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Everything should be fine. I have 16gb of ddr4 ram running on 2993mhz (2nd gen ryzen 5 limitation). I don't think my motherboard is the problem but I don't know. It's an aorus b450 pro.

What's your temps on the GPU and what PSU do you have ?

@TofuHaroto My temps are okay. I have a 650 watt corsair psu. One thing I noticed was that the cpu is always at 95% EDC in ryzen Master. Doesn't matter what I'm doing.

That power supply from Corsair , is it a vs series PSU?

@GreyestGoat

Since my benchmarking results we're pretty bad I thought it might be a good idea to see if there is something like a bottleneck adivsor out there. Seems like this website is garbage (who would've thought).

Do you have the latest drivers installed ?

There will always be a bottleneck (limiting factor) to more performance...otherwise you would get 10 000fps...makes sense?

Ok, you do want your gpu to be the limiting factor and not the cpu...which is your case...so yes you could get a better gpu and enjoy better performance, or stick to what you have and game on it.

Nothing is wrong with your system...it's normal.
