Corsair h100i Platinum High RPM

Whenever my PC is doing light stuff like browsing/media/office stuff, my AIO RPM is normal, but whenever I game, it gets unbearably loud.

 

I'm a little concerned, because I played GTA5 just now, and the AIO fans became high RPM, 2200-2700RPM. Same goes when I played Ghost Recon Wildlands. I have an i7-9700K and a MSI 2060S, both not overclocked.

 

Is that supposed to be normal?

have you tried to adjust the fan rpm in the corsair icue sortware?

monitor the temperatures, if thing get hot it will get higher RPM. you can make custom fan curve in ICue

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Now that you mentioned it, I will give it a try. Suppose I make a curve for the fans, what settings do you recommend?

Thanks, I will consider setting a curve. Is 41C unnatural?

is this idle or when you game? For idle its normal for gaming its super good. Try to run "cinebecnh r20" and use "hwinfo64" to measure the temps when running the cinebench.

41C when I game. Lower when idle. Cinebench and hwinfo shows the CPU temp as 75C.
