Hi!

I've just put together a new build.

Motherboard: msi b450i gaming plus ac

cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

gpu: gtx 750ti

ram: CMK32GX4M2B3200C16

At first It booted but didn't get any signal to the monitor. So I unplugged everything and tried again, same thing. Tried using only one of the memory sticks and got It working, updated the last bios and tried using both sticks again, same problem...

The one stick that works, works in both of the memory slots. The other one doesn't work in either. I bought the ram from a guy I know and he sent me print of It running in his PC.

So I check the motherboards qvl list, It says CMK32GX4M2B3200C16 is compatible, but a different version of them (an older one).

Should I just buy myself a new couple of rams or is there a way to get this to work?

Best regards

Mattias

That sounds like a bad stick of RAM, you should grab a new kit.

I'd also suggest a new GPU...

Try to setup ram as not linked - MSI Bios has option for that (don't ask where - somewhere in OC section if you enable advanced). It will be not optimal, but you may test if it work that way.

But if second ram don't work at all (even without first stick) then it's ram stick problem, not type of ram.

90% of the time it's the ram try one by one and see if they appear in bios.
