Hello guys , I got myself a Blue Yeti , I don't know why but it's sound horrible , I'm usuing the mic connecting to my PC And makes a phone calls usuing this.

Every target caller say I'm sound really bad.

Gain set 0

I don't have any idea what to do , please any solution?

Have you tried recording your own voice (e.g. using 'Voice Recorder' in Windows) and seeing how you sound?

This could be many sorts of issues, including an internet issue.

Okay, so it's entirely possible that your microphone could be defective but there are other possibilities, if you sound too close to the microphone it could be because you have the gain set too high and are peaking a lot, being a condenser mic it will always pick up quite a lot of background noise.

When you say it sounds "not more then okay" it could just be that the yeti really isn't a high-end mic. It's good enough for entry level streaming and whatnot but issues with USB mics like that are the reason I'm constantly recommending audio interfaces in this subforum. If you think it sounds broken return it and try something else. For USB mics I think Neat or the AT2020USB are really the best choices, but again, an interface with real XLR mic will almost always be preferable.

In Windows

  1. Go to Control Panel
  2. Hardware & Sound
  3. Sound
  4. Recording
  5. Make the Blue Yeti the Default
  6. Right Click & go to Properties
  7. Advanced
  8. Adjust to the Default Format
    1. I keep my mic on Studio Quality, but I do have an XLR Mic with a Mixer.

In Discord

  1. Voice & Video
  2. Audio Subsystem
    1. Legacy

If these don't do then anything, then I got nothing, but doing this helped with my issues.
