LOW GPU* AND LOW CPU* USAGE!

I play fortnite competitively, my pc's specs are decent, however my game stutters like hell, it drops to 20 fps, and sometimes i can notice input lag .my cpu is always at 40-50% usage and my gpu is always at 20% usage, all temps are good.

pc specs-16gb ram @3200mhz
ryzen r7 1700
evga gtx 1660
msi tomahawk b540(motherboard)
i have the latest drivers and i tried both dx11 and dx12.
please help me

your cpu usage is normal in fortnite. Your gpu usage seems very low.  How do you monitor the usage.

 

Try monitoring temps and checking that your gpu is not overheating.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

We need way more info.
What are the temps.

How is you HDD's doing? they full, they overworked?

How is your network? (altho9 im guesisng good as the CPU is low enough to accomodate).

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

First off, welcome to the club fortnite stutters like hell always, it's normal the game is optimized like ass.

For the low usage, are you using vsync? That could explain the low cpu usage and high input lag

PSA: No, I didn't waste all that money on computers, (except the main one) my server cost $40, the intel NUC was my old PC (although then it had 8GB of ram, I gave the bigger stick of ram to a person who really needed it), my laptop is used and the second PC is really cheap.

I like tinkering with computers and have a personal hatred towards phones and everything they represent (I daily drive an iPhone 7, or a 6, depends on which one works that day)

if you have vsync enabled, well disable it, also don't use task manager for gpu and cpu usage, it's usually wrong, I use GPU-Z, but there are other options

im sry i shudve replied earlier, i totally forgot about this forum as i posted the same problem in several other formus,actually my gpu is at 40% and cpu at 25% and my temps are around 45-50 degrees celsius and ive updated everything,bios,all drivers and even reinstalled windows
