Help With My Next Audio Setup?

Hi all!

 

Right now I'm pretty sure that I'm about to buy the Sennheiser hd6xx from drop.com, and a magni/modi stack from Schiit. Could anyone that has any experience with these tell me what type of cables I need? Also if anyone has any recommendations / advice regarding this please feel free to let me know.

if this is for a gaming setup p dont the 6xx doesnt have great technicalities for gaming. the magni heresy is great the modi isn't the topping e30 and topping d10 are much more worth it for a dac. in terms of extra cabels if you have a setup more then 3 feet away an exra long usb a to usb type b cable would be nice as the ones the ones thst come with the dacs are typcally not too long. and you need an rca cable to plug abetween the amp and dac

The Sennheiser give a flat response.  The bass won't be boomy and mids and highs not exaggerated tweaked sound.  For gaming as rice guru said it will be stereo and its good for gaming, but if you want to use for gaming as well your better off getting a USB 7.1 headset with mic built in.  Unless your in a studio.

Put $100 more and get the Asgard 3 if you can. Some people at Schiit prefer the sound of it rather than any of the Magnis. Consider other dacs, since the Modi 3 is not exceptional. Not very resolving in my opinion. The HD6xx scales very well with good gear. Depending on your source, the Senns will run circles over other stuff that I've tried before in the 150-600 dollars mark. I have an HD6XX that I use for gaming and I personally have no problems with it.
